Cinco De Mayo Cinco De Mayo, sponsored by Nuestra Casa, is an annual May celebration featuring live performances, dancers, and music. Your taste buds will lead you through craft vendors and information booths to the welcomed array of authentic foods.
Indian Day Celebrations Indian Day Celebrations are in recognition of National Indian Day and California Indian Day in May and September each year. Local tribes invite the general community to share their culture in dance, ethnic foods, crafts, and entertainment.
Hopland Passport Hopland Passports is held twice a year, in May and October. Hopland assembles and “rolls out the barrel” showing their finest Rhone, Italian, Burgundian, and Bordeaux varietals ranging from Arneis to Zinandel. Each winery will entertain you in their own special way, which could include live music, bocce ball, barrel tasting, barbeques, book signings, and much more… come and find out for yourself!

Sundays in the Park Enjoy a free summer concert series sponsored by the City of Ukiah, features a variety of performers and styles of music at Todd Grove Park, from June through August.
Ukiah Country PumpkinFest PumpkinFest is a two-day event held at the end of October that celebrates Ukiah’s rich agricultural tradition. Redwood Empire Fair The Redwood Empire Fair is held the second weekend in August at the Redwood Empire Fair and Event Center. The fair features a carnival, country-western concerts, wheeled events, agricultural & livestock events, and plenty of family fun. Year round activities at the fairgrounds include: Auto races (April-October), flea markets, public dances and concerts.
Holiday Trolley Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce, The Ukiah Main Street Program, and the Mendocino Transit Authority are proud to present the Holiday Trolley! Get in the holiday spirit, and take a ride with on the Holiday Trolley. From the Day after Thanksgiving, ‘til the Christmas Eve, you will enjoy riding our FREE antique Trolley from the Pear Tree Center, to Orchards Longs Plaza and on to the Ukiah Downtown District.
A Small Town Christmas The Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce hosts A Small Town Christmas the first Saturday in December. Santa arrives to the Alex Thomas Plaza on one of our very own Ukiah Fire Department trucks and is greeted by children and visits our local downtown area.As the evening draws near join us in the Alex Thomas Plaza for a Tree Lighting Ceremony as we light one of Ukiah’s largest Christmas trees for the season. Following the ceremony, spectators pull up chairs along State Street to watch the ever-so-popular Ukiah Parade of Lights.
Ukiah Triathlon Produced by the South Ukiah Rotary the Sunday following labor day weekend. Located in picturesque Mendocino County, the Ukiah Triathlon starts with a 1/2 mile open water swim in Lake Mendocino, followed by 21.7 mile safe bike ride in the countryside, and concludes with a 3 mile moderate run course at Mendocino College. Mendocino Crab & Wine Days – Held late January through early February. A county-wide celebration of two of Mendocino’s products. Winemaker dinners, cooking classes, crab cruises, crabbing demonstrations, crab feeds, special winter lodging rates, and winery passports for the countywide “Crab Crawl”.
Ukiah Farmer’s Markets – Shop our fabulous Saturday Farmers Markets, offering very fresh seasonal produce, meat, seafood, cheeses, olive oil, honey, eggs, flowers and baked goods, along with hot foods, local crafts, live music, fun, community and more. Every Saturday, 8:30-noon May-Oct and 9:30-noon Nov-April, at Alex Thomas Plaza, South School & West Clay Streets. Ukiah’s weekly town social!
Granite Construction Chili Cook-Off Grab your favorite stockpot, some chili peppers and your competitive spirit and join us for the Annual Chili Cook-Off to benefit local charities. Held in downtown Ukiah in early September.
Mendocino Wine and Mushroom Fest Held in mid-November this is a county-wide celebration of two of Mendocino’s products. Winemaker dinners, cooking classes, guided mushroom walking tours, demonstrations, exhibits, special winter lodging rates and featured cuisines.
